Peter von Wienhardt – Composer / Arranger
Normally, most compositions arise out of necessity – one has something to say or would like express himself and communicate. As a composer, one would like (most of the time) to be heard and writes more often to meet the „current fashion“. Sometimes a musical language develops out of this process which must become personal. In my opinion, this is sometimes the disadvantage of „composition as a profession“. I understand composition as a private affair and write only in certain situations: either I hear an extraordinary musician with very specific and unique abilities and sound characteristics or I get to know surprisingly charming people, who inspire me to say something or write a character sketch.
