Bagatelle for Angela (in the style of Georges Cziffra)
Even when I say that my playing does not orient itself to the usual listening habits, it is sometimes an important goal for me to meet certain expectations. In these pieces it concerns the opening work on my current CD „for friends“ – somewhat about duty.
I experienced joy as I wrote and practiced it. Entertaining and light crazy fragments, which arise out of apparent lightness – this is a strong influence in the Bagatelle. Of course there is also a free style; Georges Cziffra, the pianist of pianists, supported me mentally while composing; he also loved acrobatic exercises on the piano.

The roots of this composition lie somewhere in a bar in Mexico City. It was late, the tequila was good and the musicians in the band „noodled“ on their instruments. The singer was terrible, but looked incredibly good and danced fantastically. Koh Gabriel Kameda, to whom this piece is dedicated, and I felt really comfortable and I started to think about an encore for our next programm. Now here it is: One takes a montuno (here there are even two!), lays a dancable melody and then a heavy melody on top of it, and the bar impression is finished!
